O.k. guys are you trying to find a partner? Are you looking for someone special? Perhaps you have already found that special someone and are just really trying to impress her or convince her that you are the one. Have you been mulling over what would be impressive romantic gifts for her or have you been having trouble coming up with any gift ideas for her at all? It is a very competitive world we live in and if you really want to impress her, whether you have been together forever or just starting out, here is how to do it.
Plan a romantic dinner for her!
Great romantic gifts for women include thought. That is it! It does not need to be fancy. It does not need to be perfect and it does not need to cost a lot of money. But it does need to come from your heart and it does take a little time. Time that, I assure you, will not be wasted and will come back ten-fold in wonderful little treats and relationship gifts. Do not feel bad for being a little selfish, although remember, your primary goal here is to pamper her and lavish her with your time and affection. She is definitely winning and so will you. She will love you for the gesture and gladly shower you with affection back. I am telling you guys, even if the dinner is tasteless and dry, over cooked or raw she will not forget the sentiment.
So lets get started with what you need...
Candles: Even more important than the food itself. Candles are the single most potent mood setting devices in putting together your romantic gift idea for her. Women love candles especially if they are scented with her favorite aromas. Never underestimate the strength of aromatherapy to enhance, heighten and intensify moods and feelings and, believe me, you want this(especially if your cooking sucks!). With candles the lighting is soft, warm and romantic. If you, for some reason are not able to use or find candles than paper lamps or lanterns are an excellent second choice. You main goal here is to soften the light to create a mood of romance and sensuality.
Music: I am a personal fan of classical here but my number one favorite genre for a romantic evening has to be jazz. Put the volume low and make sure that the music itself is slow and easing. I am going to put this above the food in level of importance for overall effect also because it is critical in the mood that you are trying to establish. Setting the stage here is as, if not more, important than the show itself. If she is in a relaxed romantic atmosphere with a person who obviously cares she will be less critical of the quality of the food and more apt to give complements. Putting her at ease is essential; and this brings me to number three...
Wine: A must in my book. I understand, however, those who are not fond of wine or who do not drink alcohol. It is with this in mind and to respect those more health conscious among us that I will make wine optional. I will however say there is nothing like a nice glass of red wine to add to the ambiance of an evening!
Food: Unless you are a great cook or have confidence in your skills I recommend keeping it simple. Do not worry about the food; it is in my book secondary to the overall success of the evening. Simple and flavorful will win her over here. I also suggest trying to find out a little bit about what she likes and not straying too far from that. Give her what she wants and is familiar with. Do not surprise her with something she may not like. Until you get to know really well do not make guesses. Play to her tastes and tug on her heart strings. Familiar and food that she loves will stir up fond memories for her and, through association, connect those feelings to you.
Many men start to panic at the thought of making a meal for a women but it does not have to be that way. Be thoughtful and take it step by step remembering that the meal is only part of the experience. Settle her mind, put her at ease, and give her a break from her day. Pamper her senses!
